Washington Attorney General to announce Comcast lawsuit

Posted: Updated:

Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson is expected to announce a $100 million consumer lawsuit against Comcast.

His office said in a news release Monday that the lawsuit accuses Philadelphia-based Comcast of engaging in a "pattern of deceptive practices" involving more than 1.8 million individual violations of the state's Consumer Protection Act.

Ferguson has scheduled a news conference Monday morning to make the announcement.

His office said Monday that Comcast's actions affected about 500,000 consumers in the state.
