NE Portland motel robbed early Monday

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a motel in Portland’s Lloyd District early Monday morning.

Officers responded to the Inn at Convention Center on Northeast Holladay Street around 4:20 a.m. after receiving reports of an armed robbery.

A motel employee told the responding officers that a suspect armed with a gun entered the lobby and demanded money.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the motel, the suspect left without incident. Officers searched the area but did not find anyone matching the suspect’s description.

Police described the suspect as a man, 6 feet 2 inches tall with a muscular build, wearing a tan or brown sweater over a light-colored shirt, tan pants and a mask. Officers also note he was armed with a handgun.
