Portland Gang Enforcement Team investigating shots fired at 18-year-old in car

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Gang Enforcement Team was called out to investigate after shots were fired at an 18-year-old sitting in a car in northeast Portland.

Officers responded to Northeast 7th Place and Bryant Street at 2:55 a.m. Monday.

An 18-year-old told police he was sitting in his car on Northeast 7th Place when another vehicle drove by him and turned onto Bryant Street.

The victim told police he heard gunfire and sped away, crashing into a parked car. He was not injured by the gunfire or the crash.

Police said they located evidence of gunfire in the area.

Based on information learned at the scene, the Gang Enforcement Team responded to conduct further investigation.
