Missing 83-year-old Aloha man found safe

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says a missing 83-year-old man has been found safe.

Robert Hankins was located by a Hillsboro man who saw the information on the sheriff's office Twitter account, according to a tweet from the agency.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating a missing 83-year-old man with dementia.

WCSO said Robert Hankins was last seen around 2 p.m. in the area of Northwest Baseline Road and Southwest 198th.

According to WCSO, Hankins wife left their house and returned to him not there.

Mountain Wave Search & Rescue has sent a K9 team to Washington County to help search for Hankins.

Hankins is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, thin, and is balding with gray hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue plaid shirt and black shoes.
