Two arrested after reports of gunfire near Kelly Butte

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Two men were arrested Monday night after police responded to multiple reports of gunfire near the Kelly Butte area.

Officers from the Portland Police Bureau’s East Division responded to the area near Southeast 110th Avenue and Tibbetts Street just after 11:00 p.m.

Upon arriving police saw several people leaving the area, and officers saw one discard a bag that they said contained a pistol grip shotgun along with a spent shell.

Police identified the man who dropped the bag as Ronald David Nelson. 19. Nelson was arrested along with 20-year-old Ronald Lee Spigner Jr. as part of this investigation.

Both men were booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon.
