PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Paulsen's Pharmacy, a local drugstore and staple in the Hollywood district was robbed early Tuesday morning.

According to police, two to three men came in just before 11 a.m. Tuesday and robbed employees at gun point.

The victims told police the men forced them to the ground and took their personal belongings along with the store's money and narcotics.

According to the workers, the men left before the 911 call was made, and fortunately no one was hurt in the process.

Joe Amspoker, the manager of Paulsen's, said he is very proud of his employees.

"The employees and the two customers that were there going through the experience with us, handled it seamlessly."

According to Amspoker, pharmacy workers are still reeling from the loss of one of their co-workers.

Cory Lumber, a former employee at Paulsen's, was shot and killed by her boyfriend exactly one month ago today.

Lumber's daughter Stacy, who took over her mother's position, was one of the employees who was forced to the ground during the robbery.

"She handled it extremely well. She's 19 and she acts like she's 30. It's fantastic, she's a great employee," Amspoker said.

According to reports, this is the second time robbers targeted the business this year.

Police described the suspects as black men in their 20s who were armed with handguns.

If you have any information you are asked to call police.
