FALLS CITY, OR (KPTV) -

An electric wheelchair donated to a disabled veteran was stolen in Polk County.

The wheelchair was taken Wednesday in the Falls City area.

Deputies said the wheelchair was donated to the man to help him regain some mobility that he lost due to an injury he suffered while serving in the Army.

No other details were released about the theft, but the Polk County Sherif's Office is hoping the public can help track down the wheelchair.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Deputy Hutchison at the Polk County Sheriff's Office, 503-623-9251, and reference case number DAS16-1396.
