BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Two drug trafficking suspects were arrested with heroin, cocaine and meth, along with 16 pounds of marijuana edibles and 108 packages of marijuana-laced drink mix, according to police.

Officers said some of the drugs were hidden inside footballs that had been cut open and then re-stitched closed.

The investigation began when suspicious activity was reported at the Pepper Tree Motel in Beaverton.

Witnesses said two men staying in a room had been loading large amounts of items from the room into a vehicle.

Detectives initially thought the suspects were involved in credit card fraud. However, a traffic stop was made at 11 a.m. Wednesday and the case became a drug trafficking investigation.

Police said a search of the suspects' vehicle led to the discovery of 25 pounds of drugs, including 4 1/2 pounds of marijuana, 16 1/2 pounds of marijuana-laced edibles, 108 packages of marijuana-laced drink mix, 3 1/2 ounces of heroin, 1 ounce of methamphetamine and 1 ounce of cocaine.

Investigators said money and a loaded handgun were also seized from the vehicle.

Markice Terrell Hall, 40, of Seattle, and Aaron Hibbler, 31, of St. Louis, were arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.
