Woman's body recovered from Lewis River in Woodland

WOODLAND, WA (KPTV) -

A woman's body was recovered from the Lewis River on Friday morning.

Deputies responded to a report of a body in the river near the 4300 block of Dike Road in Woodland at 10:45 a.m.

Clark County Fire & Rescue assisted Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office deputies with their boat to recover the body.

The cause and manner of death are unknown.

The Cowlitz County Coroner's Office is attempting to notify the woman's family members. No other details were immediately released.
