ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -

A car crashed into a house and caused a natural gas leak that led to evacuations in an Aloha neighborhood.

Deputies, firefighters and a crew from Northwest Natural Gas responded to Southwest 191st and Kinnaman Road late Friday afternoon.

Deputies said nearby homes were evacuated. People were advised to avoid the area.

Northwest Natural Gas workers reported that the car hit the home's gas meter. The gas line was turned off.

Deputies said there were no reports of any injuries to the driver or anyone in the home.

No other details were immediately available about what led to the crash. A citation was pending for the driver, according to deputies.
