BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

One of Beaverton’s busiest areas is about to get a makeover and possibly a whole lot busier.

Cedar Hills Crossing is about to get a major facelift with big expansions and new businesses coming in.

The idea is to turn Cedar Hills Crossing into a more upscale and open air shopping area with more options for restaurants, parking and retail.

Demolition has already started on buildings at the corner of Jenkins and Cedar Hills Boulevard, where Bugatti’s and Jamba Juice are right now.

The plans call for 16 new buildings including a new Sunset Lanes bowling alley, a multi-level parking garage, a clinic and possibly a high rise hotel.

Some who live and shop nearby think it’s a great idea, but others think it could hurt livability.

The project is set to be completed some time in 2021.
