RIDGEFIELD, WA (KPTV) -

Kids who wouldn't normally get to go out and enjoy the fair got to do just that with their families.

This year, two kids from local hospitals were invited out by Memory Makers to have free reign of the Clark County Fair Monday morning.

It’s an amazing opportunity for the kids, who are considered medically fragile and wouldn't normally be able to go to the fair.

Memory Makers is put on by Clark County Fire District Six, and the families don't have to worry about the crowds or having the kids exhaust themselves at the busy park.

Fox 12 caught up with one mom, who said her son just can't get enough of the horses.

“Riding on the horse … he loves horses so that's something that he's had a fun time with so far,” said mother Brandi Franklin. “This is a wonderful program, it's awesome. They are all very wonderful people, so it's very cool.”

All the money for food, games, rides and other park costs are all provided by donations, so it’s a worry-free day for the families.
