Woman taken to hospital for smoke inhalation from Gladstone garage fire

GLADSTONE, OR (KPTV) -

A woman was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire destroyed her garage.  

Firefighters responded to a home on the 12700 block of Southeast 26th Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The fire started in the garage and began to spread to the house.

Firefighters searched the home and found a woman suspected to be suffering from smoke inhalation. She was in a bedroom that shares a wall with the garage.

The woman was taken to the hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
