PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Officers say gunfire hit a home on Portland’s east side early Wednesday, narrowly missing a 9-year-old.

Police responded to a report of shots fired on the 5700 block of Southeast 120th Avenue just after 4:00 a.m.

A resident showed officers where several rounds were fired into the home. The resident did not have any suspect information.

Investigators noted that bullets fired into the home narrowly missed a 9-year-old boy who was sleeping on the couch.

The Portland Police Bureau is asking anyone with information on the shooting to please send a tip to CrimeTips@PortlandOregon.gov.
