A man who repeatedly exposed himself at Washington Park in Portland was sentenced to 10 days in jail and ordered to serve 200 hours of community service.

Nathan Lee Conner, 35, was arrested in February. He pleaded guilty Thursday to three counts of public indecency.

The investigation began in April 2015 when police began receiving reports of a man masturbating at the park.

Witnesses said he was sometimes dressed in women's clothing.

"The suspect, later identified as Conner, would leave evidence of an offensive nature behind in the park," a Portland Police Bureau release stated.

Police worked with Portland Parks & Recreation security staff and park rangers on the case. A surveillance image of the suspect was obtained from a northwest Portland business.

Investigators posted the surveillance image online, which led to the identification of Conner as the suspect.

Police said there were no reports that Conner threatened or approached anyone during the incidents.

Along with jail time and community service, Conner was ordered to undergo mental health treatment and serve three years probation.

Conner was also banned from going to city parks without permission.
