Man run over after argument outside Gresham 7-Eleven identified

GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

The Gresham Police Department has identified the man who was run over Wednesday night after a fight outside a 7-Eleven.

Police said 19-year-old Washington resident Larnell Malik Bruce remains in critical condition at a local hospital.

According to police, the fight began around 11:45 p.m. at a 7-Eleven, located at Northeast 188th Avenue and East Burnside Street.

Police said Bruce started running down 181st Avenue in an attempt to escape the fight, and was chased down by two suspects in a 1991 Jeep Wrangler.

The suspects, identified as 38-year-old Russell Courtier and 35-year-old Colleen Hunt, allegedly ran Bruce over and fled the scene.

Officers were able to quickly track down and arrest the suspects on 185th Drive and Sandy Boulevard.

Courtier and Hunt are both in the Multnomah County detention facility. They are facing charges of attempted murder, assault in the first degree, and unlawful use of a weapon.
