PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Oregon Department of Transportation will close the OR 43 ramps leading to southbound I-5, Lake Oswego, downtown Portland, and the Ross Island Bridge starting Sunday, Aug. 14.

The closures will continue around the clock through Wednesday, Aug. 31 so ODOT crews can repair the deck of the ramp where the rebar is showing in some sections.

Crews will also replace a damaged traffic barrier and repave a section of roadway that connects to Southwest Hood Avenue.

The affected ramps are:

  • Northbound OR 43 (Southwest Macadam Avenue) ramp to Southwest Kelly and Hood avenues.
  • Northbound Interstate 5 off-ramp, exit 299A, leading to OR 43 (Southwest Macadam Avenue), southbound I-5, Lake Oswego, downtown Portland and the eastbound Ross Island Bridge.
  • Westbound Ross Island Bridge ramp to Southwest Hood Avenue, which leads to southbound I-5 and Lake Oswego. Southwest Corbett Avenue will remain open.

Additional night closures of the ramps may take place after the Aug. 14-31 full closure.

ODOT has a series of interactive maps with detour routes on the project’s website at OR43Ramp.com
