LEBANON, OR (KPTV) -

Crews from the Lebanon Fire District used the “Jaws of Life” to rescue one of the drivers involved in a two-car collision Wednesday morning.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Highway 34 and Goltra Road around 6:55 a.m., finding one of the drivers seriously injured and the eastbound lane of Highway 34 blocked.

Firefighters were able to use the “Jaws of Life” to extricate the woman, who was then flown to a Portland hospital for treatment.

The other driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Fire district officials remind drivers to take caution at this intersection when getting on the highway.
