PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Caught on camera: A bullet comes flying past a teenager on a TriMet bus, narrowly missing her.

The shooting happened in April in northeast Portland, but now for the first time, we are getting a look at the surveillance video.

It the surveillance video provided by TriMet, you can see the teenage girl sitting on the bus, reaching up for a stop request. Then just seconds later, a bullet flies right past her head. The girl then makes her way to the floor of the bus for safety.

The bus was on Northeast 15th and Dekum when the shooting happened. Luckily, no one was hurt.

Fox 12 spoke with a woman who witnessed the gunfire that day. She said she thinks the girl's quick movement may have saved her life.

"If that girl had not ducked when she did then I would have been a witness to a murder right now and that's terrifying," said Stephanie MacDonald.

Portland police have not shared any information about a suspect.

The Gang Enforcement Team is helping out with the investigation.
