PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

With the hot temperatures comes yet another concern: A series of gang-related shootings in just the past 24 hours.

The first shooting happened at the Grand Central Bowl in southeast Portland.

Police said at least one person was shot last night just after 11 p.m. Officers found evidence in the street outside of Grand Central Bowl and said bullets hit the building and a parked car.

A short time later, police said a 24-year-old man arrived at a Portland hospital with a gunshot wound and is expected to be OK.

Fox 12 spoke with a few people outside the bowling alley. They say they're not letting these random acts of violence stop them from living.

"I choose not to live my life in fear, and anytime I think that it's going to happen at any time or that I can't even leave my house," said Megan Hyde.

The second shooting happened just before 1:45 a.m. Thursday. Police responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Northeast 80th and Glisan.

When officers arrived they found a large crowd and a 19-year-old woman with serious injuries. The victim was taken to the hospital but is expected to recover.

Police said this shooting may be connected to an earlier memorial gathering, where people were honoring the life of Ervaeua Herring, a woman who was killed two years earlier. Four people have been indicted and arrested for her murder.

The third shooting happen just before 4 a.m. Thursday at Northeast 9th and Alberta Street.

Officers said they found evidence of gunfire and damage to at least one car. No victims were at the scene, and none arrived at hospitals.

Again, all of these shootings happened in the last 24 hours. It's just more ammunition for those who say an uptick in violence is related to our warm weather.

Police are investigating all three of the shootings.

If you have any information about the shootings, please call Portland police.
