MEDFORD, OR (KPTV) -

Medford police officers are shown in an ISIS recruitment video posted online, but the southern Oregon law enforcement agency does not believe it represents a specific threat to the region.

The Medford Police Department posted on Facebook that it appears whoever put together the ISIS video used clips from a police recruitment video that has been on YouTube since 2014.

The ISIS video, which is described as extremely graphic, encourages terrorist attacks, but Medford police stated, "there is nothing to indicate the attacks are targeted toward us or our area."

"The clips are used in conjunction with several other video clips of first responders across the nation, along with other anti-U.S. propaganda," according to the department's Facebook post.

Officers addressed the issue because they said the inclusion of the Medford Police Department in the ISIS video has been generating a lot of attention, "and we don't want people worried that we are being targeted specifically."
