CANBY, OR (KPTV) -

Water rescue crews are suspending their recovery search for a man who fell into the Willamette River near Canby Ferry, according to Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue.

TVF&R reports it started as a water rescue call before 8 p.m. Saturday, for a 46-year-old man who fell off a dock. He was reportedly not wearing a life jacket.

Rescue crews from Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office and Lake Oswego Police were seen leaving the scene with its rescue boats. Crews spent 90 minutes searching for the man until lack of daylight led to poor search conditions.

Dive crews are planning to resume their search Sunday morning.
