PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A 31-year-old woman was arrested Saturday on arson charges related to a fire that happened on Friday.

Portland Fire & Rescue Lt. Damon Simmons said on Friday a homeless tent was set on fire and spread to a nearby building at 1327 Southeast Grand.

PF&R said the fire was intentionally set and investigators were able to identify the woman from security video.

While PF&R was at a commercial fire on Saturday, investigators received information that the suspect was in a tent across the street.

Investigators made contact with the woman. They were able to identify her as the suspect of Friday's fire and took her into custody.

The woman, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to Multnomah County Detention Center and charged with arson in the second degree.
