BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Washington County deputies seized 240 marijuana plants of various sizes from the backyard of a Beaverton home Sunday.

According to deputies, there were complaints about the home on the 17500 block of Southwest Stark Street. The homeowner, Tuyen Ngo, 60, was cooperative and gave deputies permission to search his property.

A deputy said they allowed Ngo to choose and keep four marijuana plants, as allowed by recreational marijuana law.

Ngo told Fox 12 gardening is his hobby and he did not know there was a limit. Deputies cited Ngo for unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful manufacture of marijuana.
