Police: Two men arrested walking away from car, loaded gun in NE Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Two known gang associates were arrested walking away from a car with a loaded handgun inside in northeast Portland, according to police.

Gang Enforcement Team officers attempted to stop a car near Woodlawn Park at 6:51 p.m. Sunday. The driver sped away, but officers located the vehicle a short time later at Northeast 18th Avenue and Junior Street.

Officers contacted two people who were walking away from the vehicle.

Police said a loaded handgun and an extended magazine for a different handgun were found inside the car.

Timothy Wayne Wilson, 19, and Quandre Harris-Streeter, 18, were arrested. Police said they are both known gang associates.

Wilson was arrested on charges of felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded firearm. He also had two outstanding warrants for felon in possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine.

Harris-Streeter was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on outstanding warrants for reckless driving and fourth-degree assault-domestic violence.
