WEST LINN, OR (KPTV) -

West Linn police rearrested a man for burglary after he had been on the run since August 13.

Police said Clifton Arthur Chambers was arrested on August 11 after a resident in the Parker Crest neighborhood alerted police about two suspected burglars near her home.

According to police, Chambers claimed to have swallowed a large amount of heroin and was hospitalized. Two days later Chambers walked out of the hospital and had been on the run since then.

West Linn Police Detective Tony Poitras found Chambers at Northwest 21st Avenue and Savier Street in Portland on Monday. Poitras, along with Portland police officers, arrested Chambers without incident.

Chambers was taken to the Clackamas County Jail on two counts each of burglary and theft, along with a parole violation warrant. His bail is set at $130,000.
