GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

Eight people were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash along Highway 26 in Gresham Monday night.

Gresham Police Department said the crash between a pickup and a sedan happened on Highway 26 between Southeast Palmquist and Hillyard.

Life Flight was called to the scene.

A total of eight people were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known but police said there are no life threatening injuries.

Gresham PD said preliminary investigation suggests that the sedan turned left on the flashing yellow light, failing to yield to the westbound pickup that had a green light.

Highway 26 was closed for several hours while the Vehicular Crimes Team investigates the crash.
