HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -

Firefighters say an arson fire destroyed a Hillsboro home Sunday, and a woman has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The fire occurred shortly after 2 p.m. in the 600 block of Southeast 20th Court, according to Hillsboro Fire and Rescue.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found heavy fire coming from the home and saw that flames had spread into nearby brush. Firefighters had the fire under control in 20 minutes and spent more than an hour dousing hot spots.

Damage to the home was estimated at $130,000. No one was injured.

Firefighters say the home's only occupant at the time was a woman, who is in custody. Hillsboro Police say 30-year-old Sara N. Brown was arrested and lodged in the Washington County Jail on one count of arson-1.

Police say the motive is unknown.
