LEBANON, OR (KPTV) -

Police have arrested an arson suspect accused of setting multiple fires in the Lebanon area.

Seven fires occurred between July 30 and Aug. 28 in a quarter-mile stretch of Rock Hill Drive between Central Avenue and Ty Valley Road.

The fires were all considered suspicious in nature and there was no clearly identifiable cause.

Lebanon Fire District investigators placed surveillance cameras from the Oregon Department of Forestry in the area.

On Aug. 28, two new fires were reported on Rock Hill Drive within three minutes of each other. After putting out the fires, firefighters accessed the cameras and found images of a man on a bike who appeared to be starting the fires.

Linn County Sheriff's Office deputies took over the investigation and they were able to identify the suspect as 19-year-old Kristian Ray Lee of Lebanon.

Lee was arrested Monday. Deputies said he admitted starting five of the seven fires and has been charged with first-degree arson, reckless burning and second-degree criminal mischief.

A possible motive was not released.
