ESTACADA, OR (KPTV) -

Deputies have identified a wanted murder suspect accused of shooting and killing a man in Estacada.

Richard Allen Hess, 47, of Sandy, should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

A warrant was issued for Hess on the charge of murder.

Investigators said he shot and killed 39-year-old Dominick James Perry of Portland on Saturday morning on the 35000 block of Southeast Wilcox Road in Estacada.

Deputies responded to the scene after receiving reports of a disturbance. Perry was found suffering from a single gunshot wound.

He was flown to the hospital where he later died.

Investigators were searching for a 1996 Ford F-150 pickup in connection with the shooting. On Wednesday, the sheriff's office reported that the truck had been found abandoned in rural Clackamas County, east of Estacada.

Anyone who sees Hess is advised to call or text 911 immediately and do not approach him.

Deputies said anyone caught harboring or assisting Hess could be investigated and charged with the felony crime of hindering prosecution.

Tips can be left with the sheriff's office online or by calling 503-723-4949. Reference case 16-24876.
