CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

A wanted murder suspect accused of shooting and killing a man in Estacada turned himself into deputies Wednesday night.

Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said 47-year-old Richard Hess of Sandy turned himself into the Clackamas County Jail around 10:30 p.m.

Hess had an outstanding warrant for murder.

According to investigators, Hess allegedly shot and killed 39-year-old Dominick James Perry of Portland on Saturday morning on the 35000 block of Southeast Wilcox Road in Estacada.

Deputies responded to the scene after receiving reports of a disturbance. Perry was found suffering from a single gunshot wound.

He was flown to the hospital where he later died.

Earlier Wednesday, the sheriff's office reported that 1996 Ford F-150 pickup, allegedly connected to the shooting, was found abandoned in rural Clackamas County, east of Estacada.

Hess will be arraigned in court on Thursday.
