PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland's bike sharing program Biketown reached a milestone this week.

The Portland Bureau of Transportation reported Thursday that Biketown has had 100,000 rides in less than two months.

Biketown launched in July with 1,000 bicycles at stations around the city.

PBOT reported that there have been 2,616 annual passes purchased, along with nearly 9,000 day passes.

Single ride users are approaching 20,000.

The program was funded by a federal grant and Nike.
