Police: Man charged with attempted murder for shooting in Lucky Corner parking lot

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police say they arrested a man in connection with a September 5 shooting that injured one man.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Lucky Corner Restaurant, located at 13604 Southeast Powell Boulevard. A 29-year-old man was taken to the hospital with traumatic injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police said on September 7, 29-year-old Hai Tu Duong was arrested after members of the Special Emergency Reaction Team stopped his vehicle at Southeast 122nd Avenue and Fremont. SERT responded after Gang Enforcement Team investigators found Duong at a home near 115th Avenue and Prescott Street.

Duong was taken to Multnomah County Jail for a parole violation.

On Sept. 15, detectives added charges of attempted murder, assault in the first degree, unlawful use of a weapon, and felon in possession of a firearm.
