Police: Home, parked vehicle struck by gunfire in NE Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police are investigating a shooting that happened in the Cully neighborhood in northeast Portland Thursday night.

Police responded to the report of gunfire in the 6200 block of Northeast Simpson Street at 8:49 p.m.

When officers arrived to the area, they found evidence of gunfire and learned that at least one home and one parked vehicle were struck by bullets.

No gunshots victims were located at the scene or at any area hospitals.

Police said preliminary information indicates someone in a silver sedan fired multiple gunshots then sped out of the area.

The Gang Enforcement Team is investigating the shooting.
