NEWPORT, OR (KPTV) -

An Oregon City man was arrested on charges including DUII after a crash in Newport, according to police.

Officers responded to Southwest 2nd Street and Coast Street at 6:45 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators said Jonathan Hegstrom Coulsey, 46, of Oregon City, was driving a 2012 Audi sedan west on 2nd Street when he lost control of his car on wet pavement and hit the back of a parked 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Nobody was inside the Mitsubishi at the time, but the car was pushed up over the curb onto the sidewalk and sustained significant damage, according to police.

There were no injuries in connection with the crash.

Officers said Coulsey displayed signs of impairment and was taken into custody. At the Lincoln County Jail his blood-alcohol level was .14, according to investigators.

Coulsey was booked into jail on charges of DUII, reckless driving and second-degree criminal mischief.
