PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A man was arrested on assault charges after several people were injured in multiple beatings in Southeast Portland Monday night.

The Portland Police Bureau said 21-year-old Trevor Hall was taken into custody after he was seen allegedly beating several people with a club.

Police responded to a report of an injured victim in the 3000 block of Southeast Belmont Street. Officers said the victim had suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was taken to the hospital with unknown injures.

Officers could not locate any suspects at the scene.

About 30 minutes later, police received another call about a fight at Southeast 9th Avenue and Washington Street.

The caller told police one person was armed with a club.

Portland police arrived and were able to break up the fight and take control of the situation.

Two people suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds and four cars were damaged in the fight.

Officers were able to determine that the two disturbances were linked.

The charges against Hall were eventually dismissed without prejudice, meaning new charges by indictment can be re-filed at a later date.
