SEASIDE, OR (KPTV) -

A Seaside woman was sentenced to nearly 16 years in prison for the death of her 2-year-old daughter who was murdered by the woman's boyfriend.

Dorothy Wing pleaded guilty in January to charges of first-degree manslaughter in connection with the death of Evangelina Wing in December 2014.

Dorothy Wing's boyfriend, Randy Lee Roden, was convicted Monday on charges including murder, murder by abuse and first-degree manslaughter.

Evangelina Wing was found dead in an apartment on Wahanna Road in December 2014. An autopsy determined she died of blunt force trauma and her death was ruled a homicide.

As part of her plea agreement, the charge of murder by abuse was dismissed for Dorothy Wing.

Dorothy Wing also pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal mistreatment related to her two sons. Roden was convicted of assaulting the boys, who were 2 and 5 years old at the time.

Wing was sentenced to 15 years and 10 months in prison. Roden is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 21.
