LONGVIEW, WA (KPTV) -

Police are hoping to reunite a wooden chest with its rightful owner.

The Longview Police Department posted a call out to "super sleuths" on Friday to help find the owner of a wooden chest in the evidence office.

Police said the chest was likely stolen in a burglary. It was found on California Way on Aug. 26.

The chest has gold colored hinges on the top, but the lid is missing. There are metal handles on each side.

The chest contains various children's movies, video games, kitchen items and a hat.

To claim the chest, a responding person will need to be able to describe the items, including the titles of the movies and video games.

Anyone who believes the chest belongs to them is asked to contact Ron Cryderman at the Longview Police Department property evidence office at 360-442-5819 and reference case L16-5626.

The chest will be kept until Nov. 15 before it and its contents are disposed of by the department.
