Junction City driver slams car into thrift store, hits customer in fitting room

JUNCTION CITY, OR (KPTV) -

A driver slammed through the double glass doors of the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store in Junction City, drove upward of 50 feet through the store and collided with the fitting rooms.  

Junction City Fire & Rescue responded to the scene on the 300 block of Ivy Street on Monday afternoon.

A customer was in a dressing room when it was hit by a car. The customer was knocked to the floor and evaluated at the scene, but firefighters said the customer sustained only minor injuries and was not taken by ambulance to the hospital.

There were no reports of any other injuries.

There was no immediate word about what led to the crash or if the driver was cited by police.
