WOODBURN, OR (KPTV) -

Woodburn police arrested a wanted felon on Thursday after a tip was submitted through the police department's mobile app.

Police said the tip stated there was drug activity at a home in the 1300 block of Vanderbeck Lane and mentioned Douglas Eberius, who had a warrant out for his arrest on dangerous drug charges.

Officers responded to the location and saw Eberius leaving the area in a vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop and took Eberius into custody without incident.

Police said during the investigation, Eberius and homeowner Marjorie Sloan gave consent to search the home on Vanderbeck Lane. Eberius admitted to having methamphetamine pipes and a handgun in the home. The meth pipes and loaded handgun were found in a bedroom.

Police said Sloan admitted to initially having possession of the firearm.

Sloan was cited and released for felon in possession of a firearm.

Eberius was taken to the Marion County Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance, parole violation and felon in possession of a firearm.
