Reward offered in 2015 deadly shooting of 26-year-old man in N. Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police are asking for the public's help tracking down the shooter who killed a man one year ago in north Portland.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at North Vancouver Avenue and Fargo Street at 3:16 p.m. Nov. 11.

Laray William Seamster, 26, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Seamster was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Witnesses told police that two younger black males were involved in the shooting and left the area, possibly in a silver vehicle.

Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a cash reward up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest.

Tips can be submitted anonymously at crimestoppersoforegon.com.

A community vigil for Seamster was planned for 6 p.m. Friday at the corner of North Vancouver Avenue and Fargo Street.
