PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police have arrested a man accused of robbing an 11-year-old boy in Gresham.

A tip led police to 26-year-old Michael Ricardo Gonzalez II on Friday.

Gonzalez had been identified as a person of interest in the robbery of a child last month.

Officers responded to the 4700 block of Southwest 11th Street at around 2:30 p.m. Oct. 20.

A boy was carrying two Target bags containing personal items when a man who had been riding a mountain bike approached him, pulled a knife and took the bags.

A few days later, police asked for the public's help locating Gonzalez.

On Friday afternoon, a witness reported seeing him at the Taco Bell near Southeast 182nd Avenue and West Powell Boulevard.

Officers responded and arrested Gonzalez. He was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on one count of first-degree robbery.
