A driver was killed and a passenger was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 20 in Lincoln County.

Emergency crews responded to the intersection with Pioneer Trail near Toledo at 7 p.m. Friday.

Investigators said a 1995 Buick LeSabre driven by Angelica Kenny, 22, of Toledo, had stopped at a stop sign.

Police said Kenny then failed to yield to oncoming traffic while turning westbound onto the highway.

Kenny was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 24-year-old Evan Wixted of Toledo, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and underwent emergency surgery.

The 17-year-old driver of the Jeep and a 17-year-old passenger in the Jeep sustained minor injuries, according to police.

Oregon State Police is continuing to investigate the crash with the assistance of the Lincoln County Crash Team.
