LEBANON, OR (KPTV) -

Fire crews in Lebanon responded to a duplex fire early Sunday morning.

Firefighters rushed to the home on the 400 block of 11th Street just after 6:10 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire blowing out of the side and back of the complex.

Crews say there were people inside both apartment units at the time of the fire.

Three people evacuated from the front unit. They were uninjured.

Crews say one man woke up to heavy smoke and high heat in his apartment. He suffered minor burns while alerting another man living in the unit to get out.

The fire was controlled just after 6:30 a.m. and was out at 8:36 a.m.

It is unknown if there was a working smoke detector in the apartment.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
