Firefighters rescue man trapped in large machine at Portland recycling business

Firefighters rescued a man who was trapped in a large piece of machinery at a southeast Portland recycling business.

Emergency crews responded to West Rock Recycling on the 6300 block of Southeast 100th Avenue at 2:30 p.m.

Firefighters said a worker's legs were stuck in a machine.

By 4:30 p.m., Portland Fire & Rescue reported that the man had been rescued and managed to sustain only minor injuries.

Portland Fire & Rescue's technical rescue team assisted in the rescue operation.
