PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland State University students participated in a rally to protest President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday.

Organizers scheduled the post-election protest in the South Park Blocks on the PSU campus starting at noon.

Campus public safety officers were at the scene to monitor the demonstration. Officers were also available to talk to students who feel they have been harassed, discriminated against or intimidated.

PSU has received reports of harassment and vandalism on campus since the election last week, including inappropriate bumper stickers and graffiti on doors, windows and lampposts.

Officers described the vandalism as, "expressing views from white separatists, anti-fascists and Trump supporters."

"PSU does not tolerate any form of harassment, discrimination or intimidation," according to a statement from the university.

The students marched to a campus administration building. They said the goal was to petition the school board to make PSU a "sanctuary campus."
