CLARK COUNTY, WA (KPTV) -

Vandals caused $10,000 damage to freshly planted trees and shrubbery at a new Vancouver-area park.

Deputies reported Thursday that eight trees were snapped and several bushes were uprooted at Sorenson Neighborhood Park.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office said no arrests have been made and there is no suspect information to go on at this point in the case.

According to the Clark County website, construction is nearly complete on the park in the Felida area, with a ribbon cutting ceremony planned for Dec. 3.

The 4.8-acre park is at Northwest 26th Avenue and 109th Street.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to contact Deputy Shane Clemenhagen at 360-397-2211, ext. 5477 or Shane.Clemenhagen@Clark.Wa.Gov.
