Salem man dies in three-car crash on Hwy 34 near Corvallis

CORVALLIS, OR (KPTV) -

A Salem man died in a three-car crash on Highway 34 near Corvallis on Friday morning.

Emergency crews responded to Milepost 2 at 6 a.m.

Investigators said the driver of an eastbound 2006 Subaru lost control for unknown reasons and was T-boned by a 2002 Dodge pickup.

A third vehicle, a westbound 2015 Chevrolet pickup, was struck by the Subaru.

The driver of the Subaru, 29-year-old Michael S. Nelson Cedillo of Salem, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 32-year-old driver of the Dodge was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The 69-year-old driver of the Chevrolet truck was not injured.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact police at 503-375-3555.

Highway 34 was closed or partially closed for almost three hours.

Oregon State Police was assisted by the Corvallis Police Department, Corvallis Fire Department, Benton County Sheriff's Office and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
