Man arrested for road rage incident involving gun, deputies looking for victim

BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Washington County Sheriff's Office Deputies are asking for the public's help locating a victim of a road rage incident involving a handgun.

WCSO said at 1:11 p.m. Friday a deputy was flagged down by a driver in the area of Southwest Murray Boulevard and Southwest Farmington Road in Beaverton.

The driver told the deputy that an occupant in a passing vehicle waved a handgun at her.

More deputies arrived to the area and quickly stopped the suspect vehicle. Deputies interviewed the passenger, Tommy Gibbons Jr., 54, of Tigard.

WCSO said during the investigation deputies learned that Gibbons had displayed a handgun at the victim during a road rage incident. 

Deputies found a loaded semi-automatic handgun and a loaded rifle inside the vehicle.

Gibbons was arrested for unlawful possession of firearms and was lodged at the Washington County Jail.

WCSO said the victim left the area before deputies were able to identify and interview her.
