PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A man who robbed a Portland credit union on Sept. 19 and Oct. 19 was arrested outside the same credit union with a robbery note on Nov. 19, according to police.

Marshall Charles Richmond, 19, was arrested Saturday outside the Trailhead Credit Union on the 3900 block of North Mississippi Avenue.

The Portland Police Bureau and FBI conducted a surveillance operation at the credit union Saturday.

Investigators said the plan was to catch the person responsible for robberies at the Trailhead Credit Union on the same dates in September and October.

Detectives spotted Richmond outside the credit union and said he appeared to be casing the location.

Richmond matched the description of the wanted robber, according to police.

Richmond was taken into custody and police said he was carrying a pre-written robbery note.

Richmond was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a federal hold for bank robbery.

Anyone with additional information about the suspect is asked to contact Detective Brett Hawkinson at 503-823-1080 or brett.hawkinson@portlandoregon.gov.
